On Wednesday 31st January we had a special Design & Technology day. We learnt all about wheels and axles and how they are crucial for making vehicles move. We looked at lots of different vehicles for inspiration, before designing our own. We made the vehicles using cardboard boxes and by carefully attaching wheels to our axles. We had a fantastic day!
We made our own museums with lots of the things we've made like our fossils and our sheets about Mary Anning. We had the Bluebirds in our class and we let them look at the things we'd made and hold our fossils. We told them about the things we made. We told them that fossils are the remains of old animals." -Emily, 1CL
Year 1 Trip to Ipswich Museum
We went to the museum and I saw lots of animals like a pig and rhino with a replacement horn. We saw lots of things from a long time ago like weapons from the past and a mummy from Egyptian time. My favourite bit of the day was when we saw the tomb in the Egypt part. I really enjoyed it!" -Feyzan, 1CL
Year 1 'Big Dig'
We had a special day where we were archaeologists. We dug up artefacts and it was really fun! I found lots of old bracelets!" -Summer, 1CL
