Safeguarding

We take Safeguarding matters very seriously. All staff and Governors at Halifax Primary School have been trained in Safeguarding Procedures. The school’s policy conforms to the Suffolk Safeguarding Children  Board Joint Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Children. Any information about Safeguarding issues is treated as confidentially as possible, but staff have a legal duty to share any information they receive with the Designated Safeguarding Lead in school. The school has a legal duty to refer cases of alleged or suspected child abuse to Social Care Services.

If you have any concerns about a child you can contact Customer First at any time on: 0800 800 4005.

If you consider a child is in immediate danger you should dial 999 and ask for the Police

Mrs Sarah Barnes, Ms Anna Hennell James and Mrs Anita Krishna are all trained Safeguarding Leads.  Mrs Clare Tyler is the Safeguarding Governor.
