Thursday 9th November
Today saw the Year 6 children go for a little stroll along Blakeney Point after a little bit of seal spotting on the boats. When we say a little stroll, we mean a nice six-and-a-half mile trek on sand and shingle. However, the children survived and kept enough energy for the disco. Tomorrow...more boats, will the Norfolk Broads be prepared for Halifax children? Who knows? A few pictures from today are below.
Wednesday 8th November
Today, there be pirates amongst the children of Year 6. In order to qualifying for true pirateness, the children had to master a number of skills: climbing the low ropes course, swinging in the bo'sun's chair; rope swinging and targeting skills; and monsoon protection (if they ever need to build a waterproof den on a desert island). They ended the day looking for clues as part of a treasure hunt. All passed with flying colours and are now Aylmerton pirates. A few pictures are below.
Tuesday 7th November
It's that time of year again where the children in Year 6 at Halifax visit Aylmerton Field Study Centre in North Norfolk for the week long residential. So far the children have walked along the beach from West Runton to Cromer, walked through the woods in the dark, developed their team building skills and built some superb woodland dens. Here are a few photos from the trip so far.
